This all began last year when an individual running a well-known independence organisation started talking to colleagues in other organisations about his concerns that the country’s sovereignty had suddenly come under serious threat.
Within months the threats became real. These included the Chagos Islands, the ‘EU Re-set Summit’, the surrender of the UK’s fishing waters for 12 years, Gibraltar, the EU’s ‘Metrology’ (product specifications) regulations being imposed, and then the sudden imposition of EU packaging demanded on British products sold in mainland GB.
This individual, now our Chairman, said “Enough is enough”
And so Stand for Our Sovereignty was born
Senior politicians backed it and Facts4EU.Org (the initiators) and CIBUK were joined by other independence groups. News started appearing (mostly GB News and the Daily Express) and public reaction was instant and overwhelmingly positive.
Some of the famous faces endorsing Stand for Our Sovereignty

You now have a voice. Stand for Our Sovereignty is your organisation – you only have to join it!
If you’re reading this, you’re one of millions who have seen what’s happening, even though most of it is behind closed doors and not even subject to Parliamentary debate in some cases. Stand for Our Sovereignty is a membership organisation – a high-impact, grassroots-led initiative with national reach, launched by Facts4EU.Org and operating under the formal CIBUK (Campaign for an Independent Britain) umbrella.
It has a Management Team of course (see below) and political patrons, but we hope all members will want to get involved and some may set up local or regional groups to meet over coffee and share ideas for getting the message out. There IS an alternative and we CAN all fight back.

We are pleased to have other groups which have endorsed the campaign and who we will be working alongside. We very much welcome the endorsement of as many organisations as possible who share the same concerns about sovereignty. It makes perfect sense to us to have a forum where we can all discuss tactics and plan what each other is doing, putting any sense of hierachy to one side. Currently the organisations involved are CIBUK, Facts4EU, European Foundation, Conservative Post & Reformer, GB-PAC, The UK Fisheries Campaign, and The Global Discussion Forum. Please get in touch if you would like to speak about working together.
Stand for Our Sovereignty’s management team is led by Leigh Evans, Executive Chairman, and two Vice-Chairmen, Ben Philips and Claire Bullivant. Currently members of the teams of the affilated organisations help out, but we badly need to build a small team of our own. This can only come, of course, as our funds start to grow and that means we need thousands more people to join!
Executive Chairman: Leigh Evans

Leigh is Chairman of the Stand for Our Sovereignty (SOS) Campaign group. He is also Chairman of its umbrella organisation, The Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIBUK.Org). In addition, Leigh heads up Facts4EU.Org, our widely-respected research affiliate whose work has helped spear-head a determined fight back against the forces of federalism which continually threaten to drown us.
Leigh’s tireless hard work and determination are nothing short of inspirational and have won him both praise and admiration among leading opinion-formers including MPs past and present, a former Prime Minister as well as countless journalists and broadcasters.
Leigh is a regular contributor on GB News, where his exclusive reports have played a key part in shaping the public debate on a whole range of issues vital to the United Kingdom.
Vice-Chairman: Claire Bullivant

As the Founder and Editor of the Conservative and Reformer Post, Claire founded a trusted platform that has become a rallying point for centre-right perspectives, giving ordinary Britons a voice and shining a spotlight on the issues that truly matter. Her work has earned her widespread admiration as a defender of common-sense values and a champion of Britain’s enduring greatness.
Claire also co-founded the Conservative Democratic Organisation (CDO) and served as its inaugural CEO. Armed with a Masters in Marketing and sharpened by 14 years as a journalist in the United States, Claire is also a master strategist with a sharp intellect and boundless creativity. Her motto sums her up perfectly: ”Empowered people can achieve the extraordinary”.
Finally, Claire is also CEO of the Great British PAC, fighting for sovereignty, championing democratic reform, safeguarding Britain’s political and cultural legacy, and at all times leading from the front. She fully embraces the independent, non-partisan stance taken by the Stand for Our Sovereignty campaign and is a valuable and powerful addition to our team.
